Miracle Paper Pack

There are so many cute papers (and other things) in the Spring/Summer 2011 catalog! This is actually one paper that was used in a special promotion a while ago, and now I'm really glad it's back. I was so worried to use all the promotional pack, because "what if" I wanted to use them for more than the suggested project! Isn't that the way it always goes? I think I'm going to use some pictures from when Scott was a baby, but the more I look at this paper, the more ideas I get. It would be perfect for spring, or any baby, really, not just a boy. Hopefully I have some pictures already and don't need to get some printed!

If you are interested in this layout, let me know. I'm having a group meet at my house on Thursday to work together. Cost is $4. Hope to see you there with your creative ideas!

New Year, New Goals

One of my goals for this year is to keep the blog up to date for anyone who doesn't get my emails. These are the cards we are going to do for February. The one with the triangle on top is actually a bookmark - there is a little pocket on the back that slips over pages to hold your spot! Two of the cards are the regular size, and the one with the lady on it is 5 x 6 1/2. Everything is $1 each, and the group will be next Thursday, February 12. Hope to see you there!

Album idea!

I found a great way to use an entire paper pack. I am working on an album that gives you nine 2-page layouts from one level 2 pack of paper + two extra sheets of cardstock. (Well, more for the bases too, but still.) I've finished four of the nine layouts, and it's been great to be able to whip up a page in 15 minutes. This is a great gift idea for grandparents. . . I'll post pictures soon, and I'll have it finished for my open house coming up in October. Hooray for new ideas!

Scrapbook Challenge 66

I saw a CTMH consultant's challenge for this week and just had to do participate. Lucky for me it even held the perfect number of pictures to use our Lagoon pictures from last year. The template is from Imagine, Proof Preview. Hopefully it will inspire someone else!

CTMH helps Haiti

This month's special promotion is a BOGO . . . buy one pack of textured cardstock, get one free. For every pack purchased, $2 goes to help the Haiti earthquake victims. I just got word that the promotion has been so successful that they are out of one of the paper combinations, Winter Cozy. All the others are available still, so get them while you can. I do have an extra pack of the Winter Cozy, so let me know if you are interested in it.

To help with the promotion, the scrapbook layout for this month uses only textured cardstock. I made it into an Easter layout, but it can also easily be turned to a birthday layout, or a general spring one.

I'm on a scrapbooking kick, and have really been good about it this year. Seven layouts so far! Hope this year has been a creative one for you so far!

September Cards

I realize I've been posting a lot the past couple of weeks (relatively), but I just finished the cards for the September group. It will be on the 17th, at my house, daytime only. I'm encouraging all to go to the softball game between the 3rd and 11th wards that evening at 6:30. Maybe some good photo opportunities?? Let me know if you are coming, and I will have cards cut for you. I've been on a roll creatively, and Snapfish is having a free shipping week, so hopefully I can do some overdue layouts!

Frustrations

I managed to fix one frustration last week, and of course have a new one today. For my (few) faithful followers, if you remember the Back Country layout, you may remember I couldn't find a cd with some pictures. Found! I bet I spent a couple of hours last week just looking through old pictures and enjoying. Thanks Nate and Jamie for needing pictures! I'm not sure if I would have found it anytime soon if I wasn't looking for you guys.

On to today, I got my anticipated order, only to realize I must not have "added to order" my free item. I'm kind of mad at myself about it, too. I made sure my order qualified, and checked the box, but none of the receipts have it on there, which can only mean I didn't add it on after I checked the box. Grrr. Hopefully I have another qualifying order this month, so I can get it. It's the Constant Campaign for the month, a cute card set called Everyday Celebrations. It has paper, stamp set, small ink pads, and accessories. A great value, you can earn it for free (ask me how) or buy it outright for $39.95. At least I have enrichment to look forward to tonight.
